BudgetBuddy is a personal expense tracking application developed by Lokendra Gharti. It is designed to help users manage their finances effectively — both offline and with optional cloud sync for backup and multi-device access.

BudgetBuddy may process the following data depending on your choices:

• Locally stored expense, income, and budget data (offline mode)
• User account information — only when you enable login or cloud sync
• Optional SMS data — only if you grant permission for bank SMS analysis

You can use BudgetBuddy completely offline. In this mode, all data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

When you sign in, your expense data may be securely synced to cloud servers to enable backup and multi-device access. You can disable sync or delete your account at any time from within the app.

BudgetBuddy may request SMS permission to analyze bank transaction messages for automatic expense categorization. This data is:

• Processed locally on your device whenever possible
• Used only for financial insights and auto-categorization
• Never shared with third parties or advertisers
• Only accessed when you explicitly grant SMS permission

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third-party companies, advertisers, or data brokers — ever.

All synced data is encrypted during transmission using industry-standard protocols. Offline data remains entirely under your control on your device.

You are in full control of your data at all times:

• Delete your account and all synced data from within the app
• Disable cloud sync while keeping the app fully functional
• Revoke SMS permission at any time via device settings
• Export your data before deletion if needed

This Privacy Policy may be updated when new features are added or regulations change. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email if you have an account.
